Program Descriptions:  Chesapeake United Soccer Club currently offers three programs with descriptions as follows:

Travel:  Highest level of play for ages U-10 to U-19.  Teams participate in Travel League play typically consisting of 8 to 10 games a season against other club Travel teams.  In addition, teams partcipate in 3 to 4 tournaments a season.  League play is generally against teams in the Hampton Roads area.  Tournaments will typically be in the State of Viriginia but are determined after tryouts by the coaches and parents.  Players participate in open tryouts each spring and may be assigned to teams based on skills.  Tryouts for all new and returning players and online registration is required for Fall season.  For Spring Season, tryouts new players are held by appointment with the respective team coach. Advanced: Level of play is below Travel but more competitive than Recreational programs.  Play is for ages U-9 to U-19.  Teams participating in the Advanced League typically play 8 to 10 games a season against other Advanced teams with an end of season league tournament.   League play is generally against teams in the South Hampton Roads area.    Tryouts are held at the end of the spring season for new and advancing players to facilitate placement on teams requiring players for the upcoming fall season.  Online registration is required for all new and returning players for Fall season.  For Spring Season, tryouts for new players are held by appointment with the respective team coach,  coordinated via program commissioner, advcomm@chesapeakeunited.org . Returning players for Spring Season are not required to re-register.

Academy: In house recreational program for ages U-4 to U-9.  The program is focused on the development of player skills to prepare players for promotion into either the Advanced or Travel programs.  Experienced trainers are employed to facilitate weekday training sessions on Monday and Wednesday from 5:00 till 5:45 for 4 and 5 year olds and from 6:00 till 7:00 for 6 thru 9 year old players. Saturday morning games are scheduled between 9:00 thru 11:00 a.m. Tryouts are not held for this program.  Online registration is required for both the fall and spirng seasons  For additional about the academy program, email academy@chesapeakeunited.org.   For parents and players that have already registered, please click HERE to enter the Academy website and enter in the password provided after registration for full game schedules, rosters and exciting news.
