After a traditional Friday night team dinner and restful night, Crush Blue took the field Saturday morning ready for a match against Stafford Revolution (VA) but after an extended time delay and no show Crush learned that Stafford withdrew during the night from the tournament and a forefiet was awarded by tournament officials.  Coaches, players and teams were disappointed but players quickly refocused on the next scheduled Saturday PM match.  The next match came at 5:15 PM that same evening with Crush taking on SSA Blink Majic (MD) and completed the match with a shut out and 2-0 win.  Saturday ended with positive results with two recorded wins and shutouts.  The first match of a hot and humid Sunday morning brought Crush against the Herndon Wanders (VA) and after a hard played match, Crush walked away with yet another shut out and 2-0 victory. After three recorded shutouts and 9 points Crush would become first place in their bracket and move into semifinals against the Buckingham Storm (PA).  A Sunday 5:15 PM match brought the Buckingham Storm (PA) to the pitch against Crush.  After a slow start during the first half Crush brought focus and desire and recorded yet another shutout with a 4-0 win to seal a position in the finals to be played on Memorial Day.  Finals would bring Crush and Herndon back together again on Monday finals to play on turf at South Run Park at 11:00.  Crush again brought focus and determination with the ulitimate goal of bring back to Chesapeake the Virginian Championship Title.  In 2009 Crush played the Virginian and displayed a stellar peformance with a loss in the finals.  It was during that 2009 event that Crush established the goal that 2010 would be the year to take the top position.  First to the ball and last to quit was the team cheer prior to each match and each player contibuted their best which is the formula for individual Champions and Championship teams.

Congrats to all 15 Crush players....a Championship title well deserved.
