CUSC’s mission is to provide to every child wishing to play a wholesome and challenging program with a qualified coaching staff. Aiding players to reach their potential as players and as citizens is what CUSC is about. A variety of programs allow players to participate competitively within their needs.
PROGRAMS
Pee-Wee Camp. Each week of CUSC camp will offer a program designed specifically for (3-4) & (5-6) year olds. This program is designed to introduce the soccer ball to young children through games. Age-appropriate activities will ensure ‘fun’ is the first priority. A game/activity approach will maintain interest and provide the opportunity to learn about control and movement of the ball.
7-8 Year Olds. The theme for each week of camp will be introduced in an age-appropriate manner and provide a foundation in preparation for their future in the game.
Goal-Scoring & Specialized Goalkeeping week. The emphasis for this week is placed on scoring and protecting the net, and is designed for all positions. The program includes technical and tactical aspects of finishing and functional training for forwards. It also includes decision making and running off the ball to get into the offensive third and preparing the ball for a finishing shot. Not only will goalkeepers improve their ability to save shots, they will learn how to become more involved with the team.
Premier Camp. This session is a demanding and challenging experience for the dedicated player. Participants will work with college coaches and nationally trained coaching. The staff is hand-picked to work with the serious player. Emphasis is placed on making better decisions on both sides of the ball and putting the finishing touch on the technical aspects of the game. “Each time a player steps onto the practice or game pitch they must finish that activity able to play faster than before.”
