Procedure for North Carolina player playing in Virginia

This is the procedure that I followed when I had a player transfer from NC.

1. The NC team manager gives the player card to the their CLUB registrar, the parents complete the Interstate Release Form (see attached) and their CLUB registrar sends the completed form and card to the NC STATE registrar. I worked with this gal at the NC STATE registrar's office and she was VERY helpful:

Judy Ennis
NCYSA
Asst Director Registration/Insurance
336-856-0502
336-856-0204 (fax)
www.ncsoccer.org
judy@ncsoccer.org

2. Once the NC STATE registrar receives the completed Interstate Release Form and player card, they will complete their portion of the Interstate Release form and forward it to the VYSA Registrar for their approval. My contact at VYSA for this was Lisa Wilson vysalisa@comcast.net .

3. Once VYSA approves their portion of the Interstate Release Form, the player can be transferred to your  team via the VYSA Database and a new player card and roster prepared. Nan will want a copy of the Interstate Release Form signed by both state registrars for her records. VYSA will fax you a copy if you request it.

It does take a while to get this done since the card and form have to be sent via snail mail since they need original signature.

I hope this info is helpful, both of these representative from the state registrar's offices were very helpful.
